Let’s all keep the good news of Jesus Christ in our hearts and our minds. During His “trial,” Jesus spoke these words to Pilate: “For this reason I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” John 18:37
Christmas celebrates the “good news” that God demonstrated His love for the world by sacrificing his only son Jesus, to live with us as a man. Although Jesus never did anything wrong, he willingly paid the penalty for our sins when he was crucified, died and buried. Then, Jesus confirmed that he was indeed God by conquering death through resurrection. Now, he sits at the right-hand of God preparing for his return. Because of his sacrifice we can receive forgiveness for our sins, restore a relationship with our Creator and live life on more abundantly. Of course ultimately reserve an eternal home in Heaven. These are the reasons why we celebrate Christmas.
