There was a green jobs program in America’s greenest city, Seattle. The grant was a 20 million dollar grant to weatherize homes in the Seattle area. This wonderful program created a grand total of 14 jobs and resulted in three homes being upgraded.
This kind of Green jobs apparently meant a nice score for the people securing the grant money and as far as the taxpayer and society, well close you eyes and what do you see? If you see nothing then you have passed the test. Green jobs more often than not are home runs for the people creating the impression of jobs. They are a big strikeout for all the rest of us.
Instead of continuing to reward these Green job swindlers, we should be locking them up for long prison terms. Seattle isn’t by itself. The department of Energy has spent $508 million nationally for its Better Buildings Neighborhood program and created a mere 600 jobs. Stop the madness, enough is enough already!
